We are Sparc - Valleys Kids Youth Arts project, we use theatre and art to explore different areas of our lives, we both create our own work and collaborate with others to ignite change through the arts in our communities and beyond.
What is Sparc?
We are a Youth Arts project in Rhondda Cynon Taff. We work together & learn from each other. From the moment we enter the room we begin a journey of creativity, discovery & growth.
The Sparc team is an integral part of the community development work at Valleys Kids and we work with young people in a variety of settings.
Using creative techniques the children and young people explore different areas of their lives and the lives of others in a positive way.

Radio Platfform @ The Factory (for ages 14+)
Our radio station in The Factory is open for graduates of the Radio Platfform training to come and create their own shows.
Dinas Drama Group
Do you like performing? If you want a space to be Creative and make friends, then drama group might be for you.
Penygraig Drama Workshop
Penygraig Drama Workshop is a weekly drama group that takes place every Thursday from 4:30 - 5:45pm for people between the ages of 13-18+.
Sparc Love Letters
Artworks gave me a passion for drama, starting in my teenage years, and carried on into adulthood. It was the enthusiasm of the people involved and the tremendous support and encouragement that I loved the most.
Miranda wasn't just a drama teacher and youth worker, she was a mentor, a friend and an inspiration.
One of the proudest moments of my life was being given the chance to travel to Botswana to bring storytelling through drama and dance to the children at their schools. It was something that will stay with me forever. I can't imagine having that opportunity without Valleys Kids and the Artworks team.
It's such a privilege to of had the chance to be part of Artworks and hope generations for years to come are so lucky as I have been.
